Welcome Message

Message From Our Mayor, Richard LaBarbiera

On behalf of the governing body, boards, commissions and employees of the Borough, I would like to extend our best wishes for a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year to our business community. 2016 will be a year filled with many challenges for both the business community and the municipal government. I am confident that together we can overcome any adversity in our path.

As Mayor, I look forward to fostering and improving our relationship with the Paramus Regional Chamber of Commerce, its officers, and members. We share in common a pride and passion for the success of Paramus and its leadership in the State of New Jersey. Quoting President Ronald Reagan, “Each generation goes further than the generation preceding it because it stands on the shoulders of that generation. You will have opportunities beyond anything we’ve ever known.” I am confident that together we can provide greater opportunities for our business community and enjoy the success the founders of Paramus envisioned when the Borough was incorporated in 1922.

I look forward to the future of Paramus, and the many great things we can accomplish together.

Message From Our Chairman, George Siderias

My parents raised three sons while owning and operating a small business in Paramus. Experiencing the growth of the family business in tangent with my childhood, I saw how small businesses operate. Specifically, I was able to see how the support of other small businesses affected the development of my family’s business.  That’s why it is essential that I continue to pay it forward by doing my part as the new chairperson for the Paramus Chamber of Commerce.

Paramus is more than our nation’s number 1 retail zip code – we are a community of like-minded people. We are a goal-oriented, high-achieving, and awe-inspiring community. We like to get things done quickly, yet efficiently, and therefore have created several businesses to achieve these goals. People come to Bergen County to be part of this excitement. It is our responsibility as the Chamber of Commerce to represent this high standard of business.

My goal is to elicit more membership from small business owners to continue to grow our Chamber of Commerce so that we may build working relationships with one another to strengthen not only our independent business, but also our community. By building business relationships, we are able to experience the joy of each other’s success. Our monthly community events are sure to create the type of networking atmosphere that elicits conversation that is certain to generate fresh ideas for your own business.

My door is always open. Please contact me with new ideas or questions. I’m only a phone call or email away. We, the Chamber of Commerce, look forward to seeing your business succeed.
