Celebrate the newest permanent exhibit at the Paramus Fritz Behnke Historical Museum – the Hopper-VanRiper-Baldwin-Blauvelt Grist Mill.
Many may remember it as one of the structures of the Paramus Bathing Beach. The 170 year old mill was moved to the Duck Pond in Ridgewood in August 1988. The mill was to be preserved as a museum. However, the mill was destroyed by fire in December 1988. The remaining pieces have returned to Paramus, only 2 miles from its original location, and now stand on permanent exhibit at the Paramus Fritz Behnke Historical Museum.
